Authorities arrested Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Dewarren Knowles on Aug. 17 and Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Antioneo Sims on Aug. 27. A Crime Stoppers reward will be paid in Sims’ arrest.

SAPD: Wrong-way accident claims life of one early Sunday morning
SAN ANTONIO — A highway was shut down early Sunday morning after a car accident killed one person, police say. At about 2:36 a.m. on IH-35 South around Pine Street, a wrong-way driver hit another vehicle head on, according to authorities on scene. One person was taken to the hospital immediately in critical condition. That person is now in stable condition.

San Antonio residents can expect to see a mix of sun and clouds along with a decent chance of showers and thunderstorms over the coming week, according to forecasts. The National Weather Service predicts "a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm" today, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 95 degrees. There's also a mention of heat index values that could rise as high as 101, meaning the humidity might make it feel even hotter than the thermometer reads.
