    Chicago Police investigating after young teen among those shot in local business

    CHICAGO – Four individuals, including a 13-year-old girl, were shot inside a business in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood on Monday evening. The Chicago Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 8:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of West 51st Street.

    Upon arrival, officers discovered that four people had been hit by gunfire while inside the establishment. Among the injured was a 13-year-old girl, who was struck in the lower back and transported to Comer Children's Hospital, where she is reported to be in fair condition.

    A 48-year-old woman was hit in the left upper arm and taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in good condition, while a 57-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her right hand and was treated at St. Bernard Hospital. A 29-year-old man, who was shot in the back of the neck, was initially in critical condition but later upgraded to good condition at the University of Chicago Hospital.

    The victims, including the young girl, are all being treated for their injuries. No further details on the condition of the victims were immediately available.

    Police are continuing their investigation, however, no arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Chicago police.
