LOMBARD, Ill. — A 2-year-old girl reported missing from a Lombard hotel has been found safe, according to local authorities.

The child was reported missing around midnight Friday from the Extended Stay America Hotel, located at 260 East 22nd Street, near the Yorktown Shopping Center Mall. Initial reports indicated the child may have wandered out of her hotel room.

In response, Lombard police launched an active search, deploying police dogs and divers to the scene. Search efforts included a nearby retention pond, where divers were called in as part of the search operation.

By 7 a.m. on Friday, police confirmed the child had been found and was safe. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances of her disappearance.
