New Wind Creek Casino Set to Bring Excitement to Homewood This November

HOMEWOOD, Ill. – Anticipation is building as Wind Creek Chicago Southland, a brand-new casino in Homewood, gears up for its grand opening next month. Tentatively set for November 11, the casino is awaiting final approval from the Illinois Gaming Board.

Located near the intersection of Interstate 80 and Halsted Street, the 75,000-square-foot facility will offer an exciting entertainment destination for locals and visitors alike. The casino will also feature a 16-story hotel with 252 rooms, though the hotel is expected to welcome guests next year.

The project, which has been in the works since 2021, will create approximately 800 jobs for the community once fully operational. Wind Creek promises to bring a world-class gaming and dining experience to the south suburbs.

They are charging everyone to walk thru their doors. It's bad enough the amount of money some people blow thru while gambling and eating and drinking, now they wanna take EVEN more of your money by charging you to enter! No thank you!
