CHICAGO – In a frightening ordeal early Friday morning, a man and woman were kidnapped and robbed by five suspects outside a restaurant in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood. The victims, a 48-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, were about to enter the restaurant around 3 a.m. when a dark-colored SUV pulled up. According to police, five individuals, three of whom were armed, exited the vehicle and confronted the pair on the 3400 block of West 26th Street.

The suspects forced the victims into the restaurant, where they stole personal items, then kidnapped the duo and drove them to several ATMs to withdraw money.

After obtaining the cash, the assailants released the victims unharmed and fled the scene. Both victims declined medical treatment. Area Three detectives are currently investigating, and no arrests have been made.
