CHICAGO – Two teenagers are now in police custody following a high-speed chase that ended with a stolen car crashing into a convenience store in Chicago’s Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood early Sunday morning.

According to police, the two boys, aged 14 and 15, were fleeing officers in a stolen vehicle when they lost control near 74th Street and Vincennes Avenue, slamming into the store just after midnight. The impact was so severe that the car came to rest entirely inside the store.

Although the teens were unharmed, they were transported to a hospital as a precaution. The crash scattered debris across the street, also knocking down a nearby streetlight. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, and no charges have been filed yet.
