CPD reports collision involving pedestrians, squad car in Brighton Park

Chicago police reported an incident in the Brighton Park neighborhood where a stolen vehicle collided with four pedestrians and a CPD squad car on Monday night.

According to authorities, officers were engaged in a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle around 11:26 p.m. on West 46th Street. The driver allegedly reversed the vehicle, striking a squad car before hitting two other vehicles and four pedestrians.

Three adult women were transported to hospitals in stable condition, while an eight-year-old girl received treatment at the scene.

Police have apprehended one suspect in connection with the incident, and detectives from Area One are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
