    An Evanston man has been charged following a shooting that injured a 3-year-old boy in Humboldt Park. According to Chicago police, the incident occurred around 10:46 p.m. on Thursday when the boy was in a car with his mother on the 1100 block of North Kostner Avenue.

    The shooter, identified as 42-year-old Jose Sanchez, allegedly fired shots from a pickup truck. Sanchez was apprehended at 8:43 p.m. on Friday in the 4500 block of West Cermak Road. He faces one felony count of aggravated battery/discharged firearm and is scheduled for a court appearance on Sunday.
