NATCHEZ — Natchez-Adams County Habitat for Humanity has announced the sale of its 25th home to Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Foley.

Habitat will host a dedication ceremony at the home at 319 Old Washington Road on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Special thanks go out to the 86 volunteers who worked 3,300 hours over a 15-month period to complete this home, Habitat officials said. Eleven Foley family members contributed more than 700 of these hours.

Habitat for Humanity builds and sells a home to pre-approved owners at its own cost. Habitat requires no down payment and no closing costs.

“We require no down payment and no closing costs. We then finance that mortgage at zero interest rate for 30 years,” said Habitat volunteer Duncan McFarlane.

Habitat for Humanity was formed here in Natchez in 1991 and completed its first home in 1993. “Seven of the homeowners have paid off their mortgages and own their homes debt-free, McFarlane said.

“Please come and welcome Katrena and Kelvin Foley and their four children to their new home,” he said.

Parking is limited on Old Washington Road. Please park on Mascagni Avenue on the right-hand side.

Please contact McFarlane at 601-807-4956 or duncan43@bellsouth.net if you need an application for a home, wish to volunteer to work on a house, or donate

    funds for future construction.
