Two Casper Residents Sentenced to More than 7 Years in Prison for Meth Crime
Two Casper residents were each sentenced to seven years and six months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. According to court documents, in August 2023, the Central Enforcement Team of the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) identified several distributors of controlled substances in Natrona County, including 31-year-old Deangela Jordawn Stewart and 51-year-old Chad Nathan Stewart.
Wyoming Classical Academy to host Saturday groundbreaking for new Mills campus
MILLS, Wyo. — Wyoming Classical Academy will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Natrona County campus on Saturday, July 13, at 10 a.m., at the southwest corner of Robertson and Poison Spider Roads in Mills. The school is a tuition-free charter school that will serve grades K-7 and eventually K-12. Wyoming Classical Academy is a Hillsdale College Member School, a distinction that offers it access to curriculum and training from the Hillsdale College K-12 Education Office. Each year, complimentary trainings are offered at Hillsdale College for the board, leadership and teachers at WCA, and representatives from Hillsdale visit the school regularly to advise and observe.

Temperatures expected to rise for remainder of week in Casper area
CASPER, Wyo. — Temperatures are expected to rise into the triple digits as the week progresses in central and southeastern Wyoming. According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, a heat advisory will go into effect from noon Thursday through Sunday night for Natrona County, along with much of Johnson County. The southeastern area of Wyoming will also feel the heat, with Torrington possibly seeing a high of 106 degrees by Sunday.
