Amarillo’s Newest Roundabout Way to Travel is Freshly Opened
The main street of Amarillo College's Washington Street campus has been shut down since before Thanksgiving. That means for the spring semester 24th Street has been closed. The traffic was stopped in the area so that they could put in a roundabout and help the flow of traffic. After many months the average onlooker was able to finally figure out what was going on. The roundabout just got the finishing touches with a flower bed to make it look all pretty.
Airport Asks Travelers to Avoid Escalators 'When Possible'
According to a press release from The City of Amarillo, Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport has launched a new campaign promoting escalator safety. According to the release, preventable escalator accidents “can cause injuries, disrupt travel plans and take equipment out of service.” The release also asks travelers “to use elevators instead of escalators when possible and to follow essential safety tips.”
