NBA Analyst Reveals Intriguing Trade Target For Milwaukee Bucks

    By Matthew Schmidt,

The Milwaukee Bucks are in a rather interesting position heading into the 2024-25 NBA season.

The Bucks appeared to be championship contenders on paper last year after acquiring Damian Lillard, but things fizzled, as Milwaukee failed to even win 50 games and was eliminated from the first round of the playoffs.

Still, with Giannis Antetokounmpo on the roster, the Bucks are always going to be dangerous, but their roster could use some tweaking.

Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus has offered a rather intriguing trade suggestion for Milwaukee: Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke.

Clarke played in just six games last season before tearing his Achilles, but prior to the 2023-24 campaign, he had been a dependable role player for the Grizzlies.

The 27-year-old owns career averages of 10.7 points and 5.6 rebounds over 21.3 minutes per game while shooting 60.3 percent from the floor.

Clarke is very limited offensively, but he is a very good defender and would certainly provide some much-needed depth for the Bucks.

Where do the Milwaukee Bucks stand in the Eastern Conference?

The Bucks are just three years removed from an NBA title, but they have fallen behind in the East.

The Boston Celtics are clearly the top dogs in the conference, and teams like the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers have certainly gotten better.

Then you have clubs such as the Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers and even the Orlando Magic all lurking on the outskirts.

As long as Milwaukee has Antetokounmpo, it should be a contender, but Antetokounmpo has encountered some rather concerning injury issues the past few seasons, and the Bucks’ roster is aging and declinnig.

It could use some fresh blood like Clarke, and we should probably expect Milwaukee to be active in trade talks over the next year.
