Los Angeles Clippers Named Best Trade Destination For Bulls Star

The Los Angeles Clippers have not been very active this NBA offseason. Yes, they did re-sign James Harden, but they lost Paul George, and they didn’t do anything to offset the major subtraction.

Obviously, it’s difficult to simply replace a player of George’s caliber, but the Clippers can at least make an effort to improve the roster.

That’s why Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey feels that Los Angeles represents the best landing spot for Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine.

LaVine is widely viewed as a trade candidate heading into the 2024-25 campaign. Had he not gotten injured last season, the Bulls may have traded him at the deadline, or perhaps earlier this summer.

But due to LaVine’s checkered injury history and his contract, trading him will be a tall task.

The 29-year-old is slated to earn $43 million this year and $46 million in 2025-26 before having the ability to exercise a $49 million option for 2026-27.

How much would Zach LaVine help the Los Angeles Clippers?

The Clippers are definitely in need of a tertiary scorer alongside of Kawhi Leonard and Harden, but does Los Angeles really want to add another injury-prone player to its roster?

The Clippers already dealt with that enough with Leonard and George, so adding LaVine into the fold could end up being a case of deja vu.

LaVine has played in 70 games just once over the last eight seasons due to various injuries. When healthy, the Bulls guard is unquestionably a prolific scorer, but “when healthy” is the operative phrase.

Los Angeles will have a difficult time contending in the rugged Western Conference this coming season with or without LaVine, so it’s debatable as to whether or not the veteran guard is worth adding.
