we use equal parts water and yellow Listerine. fill half a spray bottle with yellow Listerine and half water. it has to be the icky yellow kind, not blue. spray on and mosquitos stay away. not sure if will work for these. but I've found this recipe is great for summer. no chemicals on the skin. although I've used it for camping and never gotten ticks. I can't say it will stop ticks, they may have just not been around.

I tried everything. till I tried the only thing that worked. clear nail polish over the entire rash. the itching not the rash went completely away.
