how can they call it an assination attempt the guy wasn't even able to see him or get a shot off

Secret Service does pretty good with reactive response but there are areas for improvement and they include insuring the Protected is covered at all times by agents taller so the protected is not exposed like at Butler shooting and taking too long to get Trump out of area like sitting in a non moving vehicle but the clear weakness with Secret Service is proactive and defensive strategy planning. I heard the acting director and the Palm Beach Sheriff wrongly say there are different levels of protection and that is just plain wrong. Whatever you are protecting it has to be complete protection as these two assignation attempts proved. In both cases amateurs easily defeated security perimeter protection and one almost got away if not for a civilian which is certainly not part of protection. Saying Trump or anyone does not get full protection because of whatever reason is just plain wrong and as a security professional it bothers me to hear such talk.
