COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — One suspect was arrested Monday night after a man was killed in a hit-and-run in Clintonville.

At 7:43 p.m., Columbus police were called to the intersection of North High Street and East Kelso Road in response to a report of an accident involving a white SUV and a motorcycle. Multiple reports said the white SUV collided with the motorcycle before the driver fled the scene.

When officers arrived, they located the motorcyclist, 46-year-old Omobayomije Fasheun, suffering from critical injuries. Fasheun was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:30 p.m.

The suspect — now identified as 64-year-old Andrew McNulty — was located several blocks away in an alley near Brighton Road and Milton Avenue, sitting inside the same white SUV. Officers then placed him under arrest.

McNulty has been charged with one count of failing to stop after an accident that resulted in the death of another, a third degree felony.
