COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – From the annual Central Ohio Heart Walk to Childish Gambino performing at the Schottenstein Center, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.
The festival will feature a lineup of comedians performing stand up comedy, improv, sketch comedy, video showcases and much more. The experience will also include workshops, classes, speakers and networking mixers for local comedy talent.
The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premier event for raising funds to save lives from heart disease and stroke. NBC4’s Jennifer Bullock and Jerod Smalley will emcee the event as thousands participate.
The third annual CCS resource fair will offer more than 100 vendors, community partners and more to help students get what they need for the school year. The event will offer school supply giveaways, information on after school programs, wellness exams and more.
The festival features a variety of live music and entertainment from the top soul musicians. Guests can also enjoy a lineup of local food trucks, beer, cocktails, and more available. Admission is free for the event.
More than 2,000 runners and walkers will participate in the third annual half and quarter marathon, along with the Purple Heart 5K. The event will benefit the Upper Arlington Community Foundation.
The annual community concert will be accompanied by a live band for the first time this year. The showcase will also feature several musicians from the Columbus City School district including recent graduates and educators.
