    COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – From the annual Central Ohio Heart Walk to Childish Gambino performing at the Schottenstein Center, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.

    Columbus Comedy Festival

    At multiple venues in Columbus through Aug. 18

    • The festival will feature a lineup of comedians performing stand up comedy, improv, sketch comedy, video showcases and much more. The experience will also include workshops, classes, speakers and networking mixers for local comedy talent.

    Childish Gambino

    Schottenstein Center, Aug. 15 at 8 p.m.

    • Rapper and actor Childish Gambino is set to perform in Columbus for his “The New World Tour.” The tour also features special guest WILLOW.

    Central Ohio Heart Walk

    McFerson Commons Park, Aug. 17 at 8 a.m.

    • The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premier event for raising funds to save lives from heart disease and stroke. NBC4’s Jennifer Bullock and Jerod Smalley will emcee the event as thousands participate.

    Central Ohio Heart Walk

    Tequila Fest Columbus

    Gravity across from COSI, Aug. 17 from 3 to 9 p.m.

    The annual event returns to Columbus featuring more than 50 different tequilas, souvenir flask, food, music and more.

    Columbus City Schools Back to School Resource Fair

    Fort Hayes Campus, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    • The third annual CCS resource fair will offer more than 100 vendors, community partners and more to help students get what they need for the school year. The event will offer school supply giveaways, information on after school programs, wellness exams and more.

    CBUS Soul Fest

    Genoa Park, Aug. 17 from 4 to 11 p.m.

    • The festival features a variety of live music and entertainment from the top soul musicians. Guests can also enjoy a lineup of local food trucks, beer, cocktails, and more available. Admission is free for the event.

    OhioHealth Grandview Yard Half & Quarter Marathon, Purple Heart 5K

    Ray E. DeGraw Park, Aug. 18 at 7 a.m.

    More than 2,000 runners and walkers will participate in the third annual half and quarter marathon, along with the Purple Heart 5K. The event will benefit the Upper Arlington Community Foundation.

    String Impact Annual Community Concert

    Lincoln Theatre, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m.

    • The annual community concert will be accompanied by a live band for the first time this year. The showcase will also feature several musicians from the Columbus City School district including recent graduates and educators. The concert goal is to share the passion for music while creating connections through music.

    County fairs in central Ohio this summer

    From now through October, central Ohio is holding a variety of county fairs featuring food, rides, games and more.
