More humidity, scattered showers, storms through the weekend

High pressure over the Northeast will open up a southerly return flow of warm, humid air. Clouds increased, along with a few light showers moving in with the leading edge of humid air. Temperatures will climb into the mid-80s.

A disturbance over the Plains will travel east across the Upper Midwest. A band of showers and storms will develop and slide across Ohio toward morning along a warm front. Overnight readings will only dip to near 70 degrees.

The storm system will drift across northern Michigan on Friday and stick around for much of the weekend. The best chance for widespread showers and a few storms will occur on Friday. Ahead of a cold front on Saturday, a line of showers and gusty storms will form over the eastern part of the state in the afternoon.

The weather will turn a little cooler Sunday and early next week, with highs in the low 80s. High pressure will build in on Monday, bringing sunshine and lower humidity.
