SIDNEY, Ohio ( WCMH ) – A central Ohio man is dead after a two-car crash Friday on an interstate in western Ohio’s Shelby County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a rear-end collision occurred just after 7 a.m. on Interstate 75 in Clinton Township. Deputies reported 29-year-old Damien Webb, of Cardington, had been ejected from his 2019 Ford Transit and died from his injuries.

The investigation revealed that Webb was driving southbound, just north of the Fair Road exit, when he struck a 2013 Freightliner tractor trailer, which was stopped in traffic due to a separate serious injury that occurred earlier that morning. The impact of Webb colliding with the truck caused him to be ejected from his vehicle.

The driver of the truck was uninjured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
