Central Ohio high school football games rescheduled due to heat wave

COLUMBUS, Ohio, ( WCMH ) — Week two of high school football will look a little different this week after a heat wave has swept central Ohio.

As of Thursday afternoon, 32 schools have announced an adjusted start time to try and avoid the heat, which will reach the mid to upper 90s Friday afternoon. Storm Team 4 anticipates a high of 96 degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow, with things still holding on in the 80s for Football Friday Nite.

To help beat the heat, these teams will have an adjusted start time:

Thursday, Aug. 29:

• Sciotoville East at Alexander will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 30:

• Glenville at Olentangy Liberty will begin at 7:30 p.m.
• Western Brown at Washington Court House will begin at 7:30 p.m.
• Grove City Christian at Green will begin at 7:30 p.m.
• Athens at Gallia Academy will begin at 7:30 p.m.
• Medina at Olentangy 7:37 p.m.
• Wadsworth at New Albany will begin at 8 pm..
• Teays Valley at Bloom Carroll will begin at 8 p.m.
• Fairfield Christian at Oak Hill will begin at 8 p.m.
• London at Chillicothe will begin at 8 p.m.
• Hamilton Township at St. Charles will begin at 8 p.m.
• Madison-Plains at Southeastern (Chillicothe) will begin at 8 p.m.
• Pomeroy Meigs at Fairfield Union will begin at 8 p.m.
• Zane Trace at Waverly will begin at 8 p.m.
• Trimble at Berne Union will begin at 8 p.m.
• Jackson at Ironton will begin at 8 p.m.
• Bellbrook at Bellefontaine will begin at 8 p.m.
