COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — Ohio State quarterback Will Howard did plenty of work in his first game as a Buckeye, throwing for three touchdowns in the 52-6 win over Akron .

But he may have sweated more during his first postgame press conference with reporters.

Howard was in the middle of answering a question about when the Ohio State offense was able to settle in. But then he paused to ask reporters about the temperature of the room on the third floor of the southeast tower at Ohio Stadium.

“Is it hot in here?” Howard said, to which media members nodded in agreement. “Okay, you guys too. I was just making sure. Good. Alright.”

The Kansas State transfer then laughed with the rest of the room before continuing to answer the question.

“I feel the sweat coming down my chest right now,” Howard said before wiping off more sweat from his forehead.

To his credit, temperatures on the field on Saturday were in the 80s at Ohio Stadium. But a room full of reporters and photographers probably didn’t help lower the temperature inside the press conference area.

The Buckeyes return to the field next Saturday for a primetime matchup against Western Michigan.
