    COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – From the annual Columbus Oktoberfest and Marion Popcorn Festival, the Ohio State’s next home football game, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.

    Vet Ohio Expo

    National Veterans Memorial and Museum, Sept. 5 from noon to 8 p.m.

    • The fourth annual expo is dedicated to showcasing and supporting veteran owned businesses while connecting entrepreneurs. The event is free and open to the public.

    Marion Popcorn Festival

    Downtown Marion, Sept. 5-7 from 11 a.m. to midnight

    • Starting in 1981, the three-day event is the largest popcorn festival in the world, attracting thousands of people to Marion. The festival will feature food, drinks, a lineup of live entertainment and much more.

    Schmidt’s Columbus Oktoberfest 2024

    Ohio Expo Center, Sept. 6 from 5 p.m. to midnight, Sept. 7 from noon to midnight and Sept. 8 from noon to 8 p.m.

    • The annual fest is returning to Columbus offering food, beer, live music, games and more for all to enjoy. Admission is free and parking costs $15.

    Hot Times Festival

    North Hamilton Park between Broad and Long St., Sept. 6-8

    • Known as “the friendliest festival in Columbus,” the fest returns with a variety of activities, live entertainment, “art cars,” food, arts and crafts vendors and more.

    Central Ohio Fall Home Show

    717 E. 17th Ave., Columbus, Sept. 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    • Featuring more than 150 exhibitors and local experts, the show will give fall inspiration for patrons and their next home project. The show will also feature special appearances from HGTV and more. Admission is free for the event.

    Delaware Music Festival

    Boardman Arts Park, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    • The festival will feature local bands with live performances throughout the day. A variety of food trucks, drinks and alcoholic beverages will be on site as well. Admission is $8 for advance tickets, $10 at the door. Anyone ages 15 and younger are free.

    Hops on High

    High Street, Sept. 7 from noon to 8 p.m.

    • Discover all things the Short North Arts District has to offer at Hops on High. Patrons can view art, performances, engage in community activities and more.

    Ohio State vs. Western Michigan

    Ohio Stadium, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

    • The Ohio State Buckeyes face the Western Michigan Broncos at Ohio Stadium.

    Columbus Crew vs. Seattle Sounders FC

    Lower.com Field, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

    • The Columbus Crew will take on the Seattle Sounders at Lower.com Field.

    County fairs in central Ohio this summer

    From now through October, central Ohio is holding a variety of county fairs featuring food, rides, games and more.
