    What to know about teams

The Packers and Eagles are both contenders in the NFC that are looking to reclaim division titles. Green Bay was unable to win the NFC North after the breakthrough of the Detroit Lions, but it was business as usual in Wisconsin under new quarterback Jordan Love.

Green Bay was able to get to the NFC divisional round last season where it lost to the San Francisco 49ers. Love will hope to be even more poised in his second season as a starter and now pairs with new running back Josh Jacobs.

Philadelphia made one of the biggest moves of the offseason with the signing of former New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley. With Barkley, quarterback Jalen Hurts, and receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown, the Eagles are full of offensive weapons as they seek to dethrone the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East and make their second Super Bowl in three seasons.

The Eagles lost in last year’s Wild Card round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will be without star center Jason Kelce, who retired from football.

    Corinthians Arena

Sao Paulo is the most populous city in Brazil sitting in the southern portion of the nation right near the Atlantic Ocean. The relatively new Corinthians Arena holds around 47,000 fans and is the home of soccer team Corinthians.

Friday’s NFL game will add to the already rich history of the 10-year-old stadium that opened just in time for the 2014 FIFA Men’s World Cup. Six World Cup matches were played before the stadium hosted 10 soccer matches for the 2016 Olympics. The stadium will also host games for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The NFL regular season will have four additional games outside the United States with three taking place in London and another in Munich. With Friday’s Brazil game, this is the first NFL season to span three continents.
