According to the U.S. Marshal’s Office, Southern District of Ohio, Derrick Faison was safely arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Madison, Wisconsin after he fled central Ohio. Faison, charged with attempted murder, was wanted for stabbing a man on Aug. 17 in Downtown, Columbus.

Police responded to reports of a stabbing at 10:16 p.m. and found a man with a critical injury. He was taken to an area hospital and survived his injuries. At the time, police did not have any leads on suspects, but Faison was later charged in Franklin County Municipal Court.

Faison became a wanted fugitive, and The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team sent information to the task force in Madison, leading to Faison’s arrest on Fish Hatchery Road.

An arraignment hearing will be scheduled once Faison is extradited back to Columbus.
