    One person dead after northeast Columbus motorcycle accident

    COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — One person is dead after an accident involving a motorcycle Monday on the northeast side of Columbus.

    At around 6:37 p.m., Columbus police were called to the intersection of State Route 161 and Old Dublin Granville Road on reports of a motorcycle accident. A 27-year-old man, Rodrigo Herndandez, was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:41 p.m.

    Pickerington man charged with making terroristic threats against Ohio University

    Hernandez was riding a motorcycle west on SR-161 as a van driving east turned onto Old Dublin Granville Road. The two vehicles collided and Hernandez was ejected from his motorcycle, causing his fatal injuries. There were no injuries reported for the occupants of the van.

    The crash is being investigated by the Accident Investigation Unit.
