How is it Summit County is not on this list. We were the rubber capital of the world, for decades. I grew up with smoke pouring out of multiple smoke stacks. This smoke existed 24/7, 365 days a year. In the summer, everyone in the Kenmore/Akron area and beyond. Lived with the strong odor of smoldering burning rubber. That odor came from huge piles of old rubber tires. Near the corner of Manchester Rd. & Wilbeth ? Where the Firestone Plant was located. Yet those elected to the state of Ohio government. Located in the capital of Ohio,Columbus. Are still mandating. That residents of Summit County must have EChecks on our automobiles. To obtain current yr license plate stickers. Our vehicles must pass the Echeck. A catalytic converter. Must be installed on our cars. Still in 2024. Yet this mandate is not for those who live in Franklin County or the surrounding areas. Where those bills were create & passed into law. Which has more air pollution Columbus or Akron?
