    Shooting on Columbus’ northeast side leaves one dead

    COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — One person has died after a shooting on the northeast side of Columbus Monday afternoon.

    According to Columbus police, the shooting was reported at approximately 2:45 p.m. in the 4200 block of Cleveland Avenue, where arriving officers found an adult victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

    The victim, identified by police Tuesday as 28-year-old Cordell Tatney, was taken to a local hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead at 4:02 p.m., according to dispatchers.

    Police said the suspect fled the scene south on Cleveland Avenue in a black Honda with a temporary tag.

    murder should never be taken lightly! A human being lost there life! when it's time to prosecute the law should be weighed down heavily. This is the most serious crime on the books!
