Ohio State men’s, women’s Big Ten games announced

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — While the Big Ten opponents were already known, the dates on which both the men’s and women’s basketball teams would be facing those teams weren’t known until Thursday.

The Big Ten released the dates of this coming season’s conference games, the first to feature the conference’s new West Coast schools.

The men start Big Ten play against Maryland on Dec. 4 in College Park, Maryland. The first conference home game will be three days later, Dec. 7, as the Rutgers Scarlet Knights travel to Value City Arena.

The men’s Big Ten home games are:

• Saturday, Dec. 7 vs. Rutgers
• Friday, Jan. 3 vs. Michigan State
• Thursday, Jan. 9 vs. Oregon
• Friday, Jan. 17 vs. Indiana
• Monday, Jan. 27 vs. Iowa
• Thursday, Feb. 6 vs. Maryland
• Wednesday, Feb. 12 vs. Washington
• Sunday, Feb. 16 vs. Michigan
• Thursday, Feb. 20 vs. Northwestern
• Tuesday, March 4 vs. Nebraska

The Buckeyes’ away Big Ten schedule is:

• Wednesday, Dec. 4 at Maryland
• Monday, Jan. 6 at Minnesota
• Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Wisconsin
• Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Purdue
• Thursday, Jan. 30 at Penn State
• Sunday, Feb. 2 at Illinois
• Sunday, Feb. 9 at Nebraska
• Sunday, Feb. 23 at UCLA
• Wednesday, Feb. 26 at USC
• Saturday, March 8 at Indiana

On the women’s side, there will be nine conference home games and nine away games. Big Ten play starts Dec. 8 when the Buckeyes host Illinois.
