Gahanna building evacuation notice lifted

GAHANNA, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A gas leak evacuated apartments and businesses in one Gahanna building Tuesday evening.

A building at 151 Mill Street, part of The Residences at Creekside, was evacuated, according to the Gahanna Division of Police in a social media post made at approximately 5:30 p.m.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., the department posted that the evacuation order was lifted. Thirty minutes later, the department said Mill Street was open in both directions.

Columbus Gas of Ohio responded to the scene.

There is no word on the cause of the gas leak.
