Photos: Northern lights as seen in central Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — An eruption of solar material and magnetic fields resulting in a geomagnetic storm, the aurora borealis or the northern lights — no matter what you call it, it made for a pretty spectacular view in the sky Thursday night.

In what’s been a busy year for the solar phenomena , Thursday offered another chance at seeing the northern lights.
