    Man dead after striking utility pole while driving in Columbus, police say

    COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – A man is dead after he reportedly struck a utility pole while driving in south Columbus on Saturday morning.

    Around 6:13 a.m., Kendall White, 32, was operating a gray Chevy Malibu westbound on Frebis Avenue approaching Ohio Avenue, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

    White crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane before striking a pole. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, and was pronounced dead at 7:23 a.m., police said.
