EUGENE, Ore. ( WCMH ) — The Buckeyes depth was tested Saturday night against Oregon on their offensive line. Ohio State lost two of its starters, with one player carted off the field while another returned in the second half.

Right guard Tegra Tshabola went down at the end of the first quarter when running back TreVeyon Henderson made a gain of 53 yards that got the Buckeyes at the doorstep of the endzone. Austin Siereveld was put in Tshabola’s place for the remainder of the first half. Tshabola returned in the second.

In the second quarter, left tackle Josh Simmons was carted off the field after he appeared to injure his knee during a third down play when Will Howard connected with tight end Gee Scott Jr. Zen Michalski came in to replace Simmons.

The Ducks also lost a player, not due to injury but because of an ejection. Traeshon Holden left the game after spitting on Davison Igbinosun following a 32-yard catch to get Oregon to the nine-yard line. The unsportsmanlike conduct cost Oregon 15 yards and one of their star receivers.

Ohio State entered the matchup with Oregon relatively healthy with running back TC Caffey as the only player listed as out. The Buckeyes trailed the Ducks, 22-21, at the half.
