Apparent Skyline Chili, Graeter’s collab causes online excitement

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Graeter’s and Skyline Chili are two major staples of southwest Ohio.

A user on Reddit alerted social media to an item on a device which appears to show the two companies had created a very unique collaboration. Kroger’s website shows a pint of “Graeter’s Skyline Chili Ice Cream.”

According to the product description, the alleged product would be a “chili-flavored ice cream.”

“A daring fusion of flavors in a Cincy chili-flavored ice cream: the creamy ice cream is infused with a warm chili spices,” said Kroger’s website. “Swirled throughout are crunchy oyster crackers and shreds of cheese that provide a tangy contrast to the sweet treat. This unconventional union offers a bold, adventurous taste experience that combines zesty ice cream with crunchy elements in every bite.”

Some people expressed both positive and negative feelings toward the product.

“I can eat Skyline every day of the week, I can eat Ice Cream every day of the week. I will try this once,” said one user in favor of trying the product. “To Graeter’s: Just because you CAN do something, doesn’t mean you SHOULD,” said an opposed user.

“That’s like the most Cincinnati thing I’ve ever seen,” said another user.

Ohio U.S. Senator and Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance also responded to the report on social media:
