COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — Nothing screams spooky season like Dracula.

Starting next Friday, the BalletMet’s beloved “Dracula” will return at the Davidson Theatre through Nov. 2. To gear up for this iconic work of art — first performed by BalletMet in 1999 — they hosted a blood drive with the American Red Cross.

“Donating blood is such an important thing,” said Remi Wörtmeyer, artist director for BalletMet. “It’s something that we all have, we have it for free, so we can be generous with it, and I think that we should do that as a community to safeguard people’s health in the future.”

Those who donated were entered into a drawing for free tickets to the show.
