COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A Union County couple is being sued by the state for allegedly performing subpar window and door installations.

In a lawsuit filed by Ohio Attorney General David Yost, Ransom and Maggie Kulasa, of Marysville, and their business, MBR, are being sued for more than $81,000.

The lawsuit stems from 24 customers in six central Ohio counties filing complaints with the state alleging “subpar workmanship or failure to provide services,” Yost wrote in a news release.

The attorney general’s office is suing for $81,000 in restitution, civil penalties, and a permanent injunction to prevent the couple from doing business.

“Taking money and giving nothing in return is wrong, plain and simple,” Yost said. “A business contract means something, and in this case, it means they have to pay up.”

Anyone who suspects they’ve been taken advantage of by a business can report it to the attorney general’s office by following this link .
