Ryan Garner made history by becoming one of the youngest pilots in the country. The 17-year-old from Indian Trail, N.C. recently obtained his private pilot license. Garner is also the first Black pilot to receive the distinction at Goose Creek Airport.

Brown is the first Gatorade North Carolina Boys Track & Field Player of the Year to be chosen from Dudley High School.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman linked to numerous dance studios across the state, including one in Raleigh, was arrested in Raleigh for charges of indecent liberties with a minor. A New Hanover County Sheriff's Office investigation connected Elissa Edwards to allegations of misconduct with students from several dance studios across North Carolina.
