North Vernon traffic stop leads to DUI, gun charges
NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) conducted a traffic stop on a car for speeding in the 800 block of S. State St., on Thursday, at 8:15 p.m. While speaking with the driver, Andy L. Edgar, 54, of North Vernon, Officer Nathan Vogel said he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle and asked the man to step out.

COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) has announced that its officers are conducting coordinated patrols throughout the city, focusing on speed enforcement. Elizabethtown man sentenced for his role in Jan. 6, 2021, riot at U.S. Capitol
A Hardin County man has been sentenced for his role in the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. William “Jessie” Stover, 47, of Elizabethtown, was charged in a criminal complaint filed in the District of Columbia with civil disorder, a felony offense. He was also charged with misdemeanor offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, and impeding passage through the Capitol grounds or buildings.
