A voluntary recall has been expanded due to the potential health threat it poses in New York State. Wiers Farm Inc. of Willard, Ohio, is expanding its July 12, 2024, recall. The recall was initiated by findings reported by the Michigan Department of Agriculture. The vegetables at the center of the recall may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

After pushback from public, Manlius drops proposed $2.8 million land purchase for new town hall
Manlius, NY - The Manlius Town Board has decided it won’t pursue buying a parcel of land for $2.8 million for a new town hall. Manlius Town Supervisor John Deer initially wanted to sign a purchase agreement for the eight-acre parcel on North Burdick Street, and then analyze whether it would be a workable site. The deal, he has said, would allow the town to withdraw from the agreement.
