Man with arrest warrant in Oregon accused of breaking into homes in Washington gated community
THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — Over the last week, homeowners in a gated community called Clearwood near Yelm say they've being "terrorized" by a burglar and prowler. Thurston County Sheriff's deputies told KING 5 that they know who it is and partnered with a local agency to conduct a K9 search of the neighborhood on Sunday. However, they were unsuccessful.

Oregon’s Port of Portland Rescue Plan Calls for Doubling Container Volume
The Port of Portland, Oregon’s only ocean-going seaport, submitted its revised comprehensive business plan to Governor Tina Kotek as part of the state’s promise to lead a rescue of the financially troubled container terminal operations. The operation is currently losing more than $12 million a year but with state aid, they envision doubling container volume over the next five to seven years as the operation reaches financial sustainability and provides a vital service to Oregon’s businesses.
City of Wilsonville breaks ground on affordable housing project
The city of Wilsonville held a groundbreaking ceremony for a mixed-use affordable housing development at the Wilsonville Transit Center on Monday, Aug. 26. Scheduled for completion in late 2025 or early 2026, the mixed-use building, named Vuela, will have 121 affordable housing units. The ground floor will include space for Wilsonville Community Sharing, a local social service organization that operates a food bank, a coffee shop and a welcome center for South Metro Area Regional Transit (Wilsonville’s transit provider). ...
Driver Charged After Crashing Car Into Terrebonne Pond
TERREBONNE, OR -- A Bend man faces several charges after crashing into a pond in Terrebonne, Monday afternoon. Prior to the crash, multiple people reported a silver SUV traveling recklessly on Highway 97. The car was northbound when witnesses say it almost struck other vehicles and was unable to maintain its own lane.
