Golftec Continues U.S. Expansion, Opens Second Center In Omaha
Situated in Northwest Omaha, Golftec’s second center in Omaha, at 3,300 square feet, has five hitting bays for lessons with in-house instructors, the latest technology for use to practice, and a fitting service to select the best clubs for play. The center also has a Sam PuttLab training area and OptiMotion, the motion-capture system, which CBS Sports used during golf telecasts this season. The facility also has SkyTrak+ launch monitors, which provide coaches with data for creating improvement plans for customers.

Grand Island program keeps at-risk Nebraska youth out of detention facilities
A Grand Island-based organization is offering a diversion program cited in a new report as one of the most effective with at-risk youths. The intervention program is Multi-Systemic Therapy, or MST, which the Mid-Plains Center has offered for more than 20 years. In The Sentencing Project's report, MST is identified as having contributed to the 75% decline in youth incarceration between 2000 and 2022.

Man sentenced for stealing nearly $700,000 from Walmart stores nationwide
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A California man was sentenced in federal court to over five years in prison for a series of Walmart thefts. Jabaree Mabrey, 27, was sentenced Thursday for fraudulent use of unauthorized access device. There is no parole in the federal system. After Mabrey’s release, he will begin a three-year term of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $690,484 in restitution.
