Inmate at Chemung County Jail faces additional charges after soup attack

HAMMONDSPORT, N.Y. (WENY) -- A local winery has taken home two of the top awards in the 38th Annual New York Wine Classic. Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Wednesday night that Weis Vineyards in Hammondsport was awarded the Governor's Cup for their 2018 Riesling Ice Wine. The Governor's Cup is given out to the best wine in any given year's competition.

One regional airport in Tioga County makes more sense. Can someone explain why Broome County continues to have an airport that is hardly used. Financially it would make more sense to have a larger airport in Tioga County that serves Binghamton, Ithaca and Elmira. Millions are spent every year on airports that are difficult to sustain. In the era of IBM, Link, and other companies that no longer provide employment opportunities, it made sense for Binghamton to have its own airport.
