The Moving Wall Moves On
TIOGA, PA (WENY) -- After six days and welcoming thousands of visitors, The Moving Wall has come down at Williamson High School in Tioga, Pennsylvania. The final visitors spent the last few moments looking at the names on the wall, which is a half-sized traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. Monday afternoon, volunteers helped to disassemble the wall, which was loaded back on the truck, and will eventually head to its next destination.

Work progressing on Pizza Hut building in Corning, a 'wonderful' addition to Northside
Construction crews are busy working to update and reopen the old Pizza Hut building on Corning’s northside. The East Pulteney Street site was one of 17 Pizza Hut restaurants that closed in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Other closures included locations in Elmira, Hornell and Bath. Pizza Hut returned to Elmira in November 2022 with a delivery and takeout-only location, and now, it's poised for a comeback in Steuben County.
Tour guide program to provide personal, friendly touch for visitors
WELLSBORO — To encourage repeat tourism visits and word of mouth, local hospitality leaders are developing a program to provide visitors with a warm, personal touch. Clare Ritter and Tracy Fox, both professionals in the hospitality industry, are training volunteers to serve as guides for walking and bus tours. The first group of half a dozen people met July 11 for the initial training.

(WENY) -- With over 10,000 people in Chemung County alone without power, a number of fresh water stations have been set up on Tuesday, July 16th to help people get by. Chemung County Emergency Management has set up water distribution site in Elmira at the Southport Volunteer Fire Department located at 1001 Carl St. and the East Water Street and Dewitt Ave. Parking Lot located next to the Clarion Inn.
