FEDS: Corning NY and Springville NY men arrested for child abuse and exploitation
ROCHESTER, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that Ryan M. Newman, 33, of Corning, NY, was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with production, distribution, receipt, and possession of child pornography. As a convicted sex offender at the time of the alleged crimes, Newman faces an enhanced minimum penalty of 25 years in prison, of maximum penalty of 50 years, and a $250,000 fine.

Elmira's Clemens Center Parkway bridge partially closed after blaze. What we know.
Motorists in the City of Elmira who want to cross from the Southside to the Northside will have to avoid one of the major spans in the city for now. The northbound lane of the Clemens Center Parkway Bridge, which carries the parkway across the Chemung River, is temporarily closed after a large fire erupted under the bridge Thursday afternoon.

The Annual 148th Troy Fair Draft Horse Show will be held on Sunday, July 21 at 10 a.m. inside gate three of Alparon Park. The event has free parking and admission on that day.
