Dog injured in Watkins Glen fire returns home
WATKINS GLEN, NY (CortacaToday) – A pet has returned home after extensive treatment from a house fire. Diesel the dog is back with family and expected to fully recover after being trapped in a Watkins Glen blaze on August 11, 2024. Personnel limited the structural damage in the fire and rescued Diesel, who was home alone and found unresponsive. He was revived with oxygen and CPR. Diesel spent four days in the vet hospital, including significant time in an oxygen chamber for smoke inhalation.
