Blue Mound employee fired due to 'actions detrimental to the Village'
BLUE MOUND, Ill. (WAND) — A Blue Mound village employee was recently terminated and could possibly have legal action brought against her. The village board voted to terminate Jennifer Prasun at a meeting on July 1st. According to minutes from the meeting, employees and board members were encouraged not to discuss particular issues and were instructed to say that she was terminated due to "Actions detrimental to the Village."

The SC Lady Falcons beat visiting Altamont 14-4 in five-innings on Monday afternoon. Skylar Webster and Claire Chasteen each had 3 hits and drove in 3 runs, Ophie Lowry drove in 2 runs with RBI also from Kyndl Bolen, Emmie Ruholl, Bella McDowell and Alexa Gile. Gile and Bolen added triples. Annie Ruholl was the winning pitcher allowing 6 hits and 2 earned runs with 8 strikeouts. South Central will host Sandoval.
SEB Volleyball Opens Season With Road Win at Okaw Valley
St. Elmo-Brownstown volleyball shook off a close first set loss to come in Bethany back and win their second and third sets and beat Okaw Valley 25-27, 25-22, 25-18 on Monday night. IL Singer Drew Baldridge Makes Country Music History
Singer-songwriter and Illinois native Drew Baldridge has made country music history with his song “She’s Somebody’s Daughter.”. Drew was born in Patoka, Illinois July 29, 1991. As a teenager he performed at local talent contests. Drew moved to Nashville when he was 18 to pursue his dream of being a country music singer. He appeared to be on the way when he was signed to Cold River records and released his debut studio album Dirt On Us in 2016. Unfortunately, Cold River closed their doors in 2019 leaving Drew without a label.
