EDISON — A 37-year-old township man has been accused of stabbing a woman to death in her home on Sunday, where her son made the gruesome discovery. Man Charged with Murder after Son Finds Mother's Body in Edison Home
EDISON, NJ — An Edison man faces first-degree murder charges following a stabbing Sunday. Joan Franklin Polanco, 37, is charged with killing Lizbeth Benitzez-Ramirez, also 37. Ramirez's body was found inside a residence on Horizon Drive.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Police say Benitez-Ramirez’s son was asleep in his room and found his mother deceased with multiple stab wounds when he woke up in the afternoon. Authorities say Polanco was seen entering the bedroom with a knife and leaving the residence shortly after the incident occurred. Polanco was arrested later Sunday in New York City. In addition to murder charges, he is also charged with third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. The investigation is active and continuing. Ocean County, NJ, man charged in Toms River fatal hit-and-run crash
An Ocean County man has been arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run accident in Toms River Sunday afternoon. Authorities say 68-year-old John Marrone of Seaside Park has been charged with causing death or injury while driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license and knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death.
