Thruway Authority Unveils New Ramapo Service Area Amid $450 Million Modernization
The New York State Thruway Authority today celebrates the reopening of the new Ramapo Service Area (I-87 southbound, mile marker 33) in Sloatsburg, NY, marking the completion of two-thirds of the $450 million private investment to redevelop and modernize all 27 Thruway service areas. The new Ramapo Service Area is the 18th new service area to open to Thruway customers and is located in a busy tourist and commuter corridor that is traveled by more than 90,000 vehicles per day.
N.Y. Lottery: Lucky winner gets $50K with Powerball third-prize ticket
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — One lucky winner scored $50,000 with a third-prize Powerball ticket in New York state. The New York Lottery announced the winning ticket for the June 24 drawing matched four white balls and the red Powerball. It was sold at Price Chopper, located at 165 Delaware Ave., in Sidney, N.Y.
