    New Bern man arrested on heroin, cocaine, marijuana charges

    NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) — The New Bern Police Department and N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement arrested a man Thursday in relation to an ongoing narcotics investigation.

    Law enforcement searched a home on Bern Street and Vibez VIP on Broad Street. Another search took place on Vail Street, resulting in Darryl Delast Hatter, 62, being taken into custody.

    Hatter was charged with:

    • Three counts felony possession of a firearm by a felon
    • Two counts felony trafficking cocaine
    • Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule III controlled substance
    • Felony maintaining vehicle/dwelling for controlled substances
    • Felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana
    • Felony possession of marijuana
    • Felony manufacturing cocaine
    • Felony possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine
    • Felony possession of cocaine
    • Two counts felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance
    • Felony delivering heroin
    • Misdemeanor allowing conduct on license premises
    • Misdemeanor failure to superintend

    Hatter was jailed in the Craven County Jail without bond.
