San Marcos Restaurateur Is Debuting an Eatery in New Braunfels

A new eatery listed as Saludos Cocina Bar & Bar is debuting in New Braunfels, according to a recently submitted permit application.

Coming to 388 E San Antonio Street , the eatery will land near establishments such as Muck & Fuss Craft Beer & Burgers, Naegelin’s German Bakery, and Otomi Authentic Mexican Coffee.

What Now San Antonio contacted the concept’s owner Allen Shy — who also operates CRAFThouse and Blind Salamander Cantina in downtown San Marcos — to inquire about Saludos, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing offers further insight — disclosing that renovations to the existing 7,600-square-foot space will begin on April 5 and finish in December. For an estimated $500,000, the project will be carried out by local firm Thorn Architects PLLC.

An opening date has not been announced, so stay tuned for updates.
