VAN WERT, OH (WLIO) - Farmers from around the region gathered in Van Wert to show off both modern and historical tractors. Over 150 tractors are on display at the 48th annual Old Fashioned Farmers Days, some of them close to 100 years old. The weekend also includes a flea market, food vendors, live music, and plenty of events like thresher demonstrations and tractor pulls throughout each day. The event is a great way to celebrate agricultural heritage and teach people how far the industry has come in the last few decades.

Ohio’s casinos, racinos report uptick in May gambling revenue
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Ohio’s casinos and racinos saw an uptick in gambling revenue and had their best May since 2021. The state’s 11 casinos and racinos brought in a combined $204 million in May, up from $196 million in 2023 and $202 million in 2022. The record for the month was set in 2021, at $209 million, according to data from the Ohio casino control and lottery commissions.

A cooking fire damages a Lima home early Saturday morning
LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - A cooking fire is to blame for a house fire on the west side of Lima early Saturday morning. The Lima Fire Department was called out to 2035 W. Wayne St. around 12:30 a.m. for reports of a house fire. No one was injured in the fire, and firefighters were on scene for about an hour. The fire started in the kitchen and caused an estimated $25,000 in damage to the home.
